Making a Difference in the Community

The SWIMGA Youth Education and Diversity Committee was very busy in 2023. We gave 14 education presentations at 4 locations, distributed 11 flats of plants, and worked at 2 community sites. One of the community sites, Albion Fellows Bacon Center, wanted to publish our gardening contributions to their domestic violence shelter.  We have started planning for 2024 and it is going to be really, really exciting! In addition, to all of the youth education programs, we will continue education programs at Albion Fellows Bacon and starting a new community education program at United Methodist Youth Center…Rita Wedig, Chair of the SWIMGA Youth Education/Diversity Committee
